2023-2024 TOP TEN IP CASES BY QBPC
Today is the 24th World Intellectual Property Day, and the theme for this year is called “IP and the SDGs: building our common future with innovation and creativity”, aiming to explore how intellectual property encourages and amplifies the innovative and creative solutions in the future. To celebrate the 24th World IP Day, the Quality Brands Protection Committee of China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment (“QBPC”) recently held a grand press conference in Beijing to announce the awards of “the 2023-2024 Top Ten IP Protection Cases”, showcasing efforts to comprehensively strengthen IP protection, stimulate innovation and promote the building of new development in China.
Sincerely, we would like to congratulate our esteemed clients with their successful cases, which have been recognized as Top Ten IP Cases, from almost 80 nominating cases filed by various reputing brands. One of the two cases involved the civil litigation to protect the famous winery brand “Penfolds” owned by Treasury Wine Estates from Australia, awarding as one of the “Top Ten IP Civil Litigation” cases, and the other case is about the “Top Ten IP Criminal Prosecution” case to protect the famous brand “ABB” owned by ASEABrown Boveri Ltd, a Swedish–Swiss multinational corporation. Such recognition is earned to our clients’ successful brand protection strategy.
